Marina has been with Metro Paws since April 2016. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she moved to Dallas in 2012 after her husband, Jose, finished his time in the Marine Corps.
She has been in the veterinary field for 15 years, starting in high school in an after-school program at the age of 16. Her interests are emergency medicine and surgery. She has 3 children, Brianna, Vincent, and Emmett.
Along with her human family, Marina shares her house with her 2 Miniature Schnauzers, Achilles and Athena, Alexander The Great Dane (that is his real name) Albert a crazy little Yorkie and finally Kovu a Domestic short hair with a short fuse.
When she is not working, she enjoys watching Oakland Raider games as well as Los Angeles Dodgers games. She enjoys trips to Los Angeles to visit her family and taking her kids to Disneyland. But most of the time you can find her and her kiddos at Hurricane harbor every weekend during the summer.
Marina’s goal with every patient’s visit is to make sure every one is happy and healthy. When a patient is sick her goal is to do as much as she can to get that patient home and feeling better.
“Every individual matters.
Every individual has a role to play.
Every individual makes a difference.
The least I can do is speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves.
The greatest danger to our future is apathy.”
